Galatasaray draw 3-3 with Dynamo Kyiv in Europa League thriller
Galatasaray were held to a 3-3 draw at home against Dynamo Kyiv on 7th week of UEFA Europa League on Tuesday.
Davinson Sanchez gave Galatasaray an early lead with a header in the sixth minute, followed by Abdulkerim Bardakci’s long-range strike in the 22nd minute at Istanbul’s Ali Sami Yen Sports Complex, making it 2-0.
Dynamo Kyiv pulled one back just before halftime, with Vladyslav Vanat scoring from close range in the 44th minute.
In the 50th minute, Baris Alper Yilmaz was shown a second yellow card and sent off, but the decision was overturned. A minute later, Galatasaray were awarded a penalty, which Victor Osimhen converted to extend the lead to 3-1.
Andriy Yarmolenko scored for Dynamo Kyiv in the 68th minute, following up on a corner with a shot from the center of the box. Yarmolenko then completed his brace in the 81st minute with a header, bringing Dynamo Kyiv level at 3-3.
Galatasaray are now fifth in the group with 13 points, while Dynamo Kyiv remain at the bottom of the table with one point.
