Ganeshotsav Special Train : The railway administration has announced a very big and comforting decision for the chakarmanyas of Mumbai who are going to visit their beloved Bappa for the upcoming Ganeshotsav. Every year there is a huge rush for tickets by devotees going to Konkan during the festive season and the reservation of regular trains fills up within minutes. Keeping this huge crowd in mind, the Railways this year has run 178 special trains from major stations in Mumbai and suburbs It has been officially announced to run. Due to this, the journey of lakhs of passengers going to the village during the festive period will be very comfortable and convenient.
Trains will depart from major terminus in Mumbai
To avoid inconvenience to the Ganesh devotees living in Mumbai, the railways has carefully planned the departure of these special trains from stations in different parts.
Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT): A large number of special flights will be operated from here for passengers heading towards South Konkan and Goa from the main hub of Mumbai. Ganeshotsav Special Train
Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (LTT): Special air-conditioned and sleeper trains will be launched from the Kurla terminus for the convenience of suburbanites. Ganeshotsav Special Train

All these trains departing from Mumbai will stop at the right stations of passengers in Konkan. According to the Railway Administration, these trains are mainly on Ratnagiri, Sawantwadi Road, Kudal, Chiplun, Khed and Madgaon (Goa). These will run to major railway stations. Reservation starts from August 1; Make a booking
The official ticket reservation for these special railway trains will be opened in a phased manner from 1st August 2026.
