Today the festival of Gangaur will be celebrated with full enthusiasm and traditional pomp in the Pink City Jaipur. On this occasion, a grand royal procession of Gangaur will be taken out from the City Palace at 5:45 pm, in which a glimpse of traditional folk culture will be seen.

This ride will start from City Palace and reach Pondrick Garden (Palika Bagh) via Tripolia Gate, Chhoti Chaupar, Gangauri Bazaar, Chaugan Stadium and Talkatora. A large number of devotees and tourists will witness this historical tradition during the ride.

A total of 32 traditional troupes will participate in this grand event, along with 210 folk artists will enthrall with their performances. The glimpses of traditional folk arts like Kachhi Ghodi, Kalbeliya, Chari and Ghoomar dance will enthrall the audience.

The administration has done traffic diversion on many routes to maintain smooth traffic during the ride. An appeal has been made to the general public to use alternative routes to avoid inconvenience.

Apart from this, the royal ride will also be telecast live on social media platforms, so that people can enjoy this cultural event sitting at home.

This festival of Gangaur is a symbol of the rich cultural heritage of Rajasthan, which attracts tourists from India and abroad every year and keeps the traditions alive.
