Gangster arrested while watching ‘Pushpa 2’ in cinema
During the screening of the Tamil film Pushpa 2 at a cinema in Nagpur, Maharashtra, a real-life event unfolded like a scene from a movie when police arrested the fugitive gangster Vishal Mishram who was sitting among the moviegoers.
According to Indian media reports, Vishal Mishram had been on the run for 10 months, evading arrest for charges including two murders and multiple drug smuggling cases. The police learned about his interest in the recently released film Pushpa 2 which led them to trace his whereabouts.
Mishram had 27 cases filed against him including charges of murder, drug trafficking and involvement in violent incidents. He had even previously attacked police officers.
Despite these serious allegations, Vishal Mishram had managed to avoid capture for several months. However, his interest in watching Pushpa 2 eventually led to his arrest.
Police tracked him using cyber tracking and his new vehicle, and after he arrived at the theater, they surrounded him. To prevent his escape, the police also punctured the tires of his car parked outside the cinema.
The police confirmed that they had tracked him down after learning about his interest in Pushpa 2. While watching Allu Arjun’s powerful performance at the cinema, Mishram was arrested swiftly by the police, without any resistance, leaving other moviegoers stunned.
Currently, Vishal Mishram is imprisoned in Nagpur Central Jail and legal proceedings against him will begin soon.
