There is a stir in Pakistan cricket circles. Every day some trouble is being created here. Meanwhile, after the recent resignation of Gary Kirsten, who was the limited overs format coach of Pakistan cricket team, the PCB Chief has now made serious allegations against this South African legend. PCB Chief Mohsin Naqvi said that Gary Kirsten has breached the contract by leaving before the completion of his tenure.
PCB's reaction to Gary Kirsten's resignation
Recently, Pakistan's ODI and T20 format head coach Gary Kirsten suddenly resigned from his post. He came to the post of head coach of Pakistan only in April 2024 and was contracted for 2 years, but Gary resigned in just 6 months.
PCB accuses Kirsten of violating contract
Mohsin Naqvi, while talking about the Gary Kirsten case in an interview, said, “Gary Kirsten has violated the rules by breaking his contract with the Pakistan Cricket Board. There was no initiative from our side, they terminated the contract with us.”
But PCB Chief Mohsin Naqvi could not explain the reason behind Gary Kirsten's sudden resignation. According to information received from sources, the PCB did not talk to head coach Gary Kirsten nor did he ask for his suggestions on the squad and new captain for the Australia and Zimbabwe tours, which is why Gary announced his resignation.
