Vietnam gasoline prices declined for the third week in a row on Wednesday.

This week’s price adjustment came earlier than usual to account for New Year’s Day on Thursday.

The popular gasoline RON95 decreased by 0.47% to VND18,910 per liter. Biofuel E5 RON92 went down 1.5% decline to VND18,710. Their prices also fell in the last two weekly adjustments.

Diesel price, meanwhile, was stable at VND17,250.

RON95 prices are currently VND1,630 per liter lower than a year ago while diesel prices have declined by VND1,380.

Globally the global oil market over the last seven days was influenced by information related to renewed instability in the Middle East, developments in the peace agreement between Russia and Ukraine, and tensions in U.S.-Venezuela relations.

RON95 dipped 0.5% to $74 per barrel, while diesel edged 0.1% lower.
