Gasquet advanced to pre-quarters in his final appearance in Metz
METZ Metz: Richard Gasquet made a thrilling first-round comeback against Thiago Monteiro to stay in his final campaign at the Mosel Open. The 38-year-old Gasquet played the first of his 33 ATP Tour finals in Metz, saving match points 4-6 , winning 6-4, 7-6(6) and recording his first tour-level win since May. Former No. 7 Gasquet played brilliantly on serve throughout the match.
