Both of them placed the World Cup trophy at the feet of Bappa and took blessings and expressed gratitude for this historic victory.

India created history by winning the World Cup by defeating New Zealand at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The team’s victory chariot reached Mumbai, where captain Suryakumar Yadav and coach Gambhir performed special prayers at the temple. With this win, Surya joins the list of legendary captains like MS Dhoni and Rohit Sharma who have led India to the World Cup. India has become the first team to successfully defend its T20 World Cup title.

In the final, India batted first and scored a huge score of 255 runs. Opener Abhishek Sharma scored 52 runs in 21 balls and Sanju Samson scored 89 runs in 46 balls and made a partnership of 98 runs for the first wicket. After this, Ishan Kishan troubled the Kiwi bowlers by scoring 54 runs in 25 balls.
