Gautami Naik saves RCB with crucial knock, team finish on 178/6

Smriti Mandhana, who missed a hundred by 4 runs in the previous contest, managed 26 runs off 23 balls, including 4 boundaries. It was Gautami Naik who added some respectability to the total, accumulating 73 runs off 55 deliveries, laced with 7 fours and 1 six.

Richa Ghosh smashed 3 sixes in her knock of 27 runs in 20 balls. RCB all-rounder Nadine de Klerk, who has contributed with the bat in the previous matches, scored just 4 runs off 6 deliveries.

Radha Yadav was looking good before getting dismissed. She posted 12 runs off 8 balls, including 2 fours and 1 six.

Renuka Singh was the Giants’ best bowler, conceding 23 runs and taking 1 wicket from her four overs.

Sophie Devine was also economical, giving away 25 runs and dismissing one batter in four overs. Although Ashleigh Gardner and Kashvee Gautam took two wickets each, but where expensive.
