General Hospital Brings Back Another Key Star Besides Steve Burton

General Hospital recently celebrated its 16000th episode milestone. Subsequently, the celebration video hinted at the comeback of a beloved character besides Steve Burton‘s Jason Morgan.

Here is all you need to know about the latest development on the ABC soap opera.

Finola Hughes returns as Anna on General Hospital

Finola Hughes’ Anna is back on the set of General Hospital.

The show’s Instagram video shared a video of the cast celebrating the 16000th episode. The video included Steve Burton and Finola Hughes, suggesting they have resumed filming. Anna was last seen on GH in February 2026. Her life took a terrifying turn when Sidwell and Cullum held her captive in Wyndemere. Further, they tried to convince her that her archenemy, Cesar Faison, is still alive.

After Britt and Nathan showed up in Port Charles, Anna got nervous about Cesar’s return, as Britt and Nathan are his kids. Jason felt Sidwell was only using Cesar’s name to manipulate Anna as her condition continued to worsen. Anna was attacked with chloroform after she got into her car. After she woke up, she was tied to a chair when a mysterious man told her she was heading to a new life. This incident had a huge impact on Anna’s mental health as she was transferred to a mental health facility in France.

Emma, Mac, and Felicia spoke to Dr. Laurent while Anna faced a breakdown. Anna’s condition was fragile as she continued thinking about Cesar. In April, Chris McKenna, who plays Jack Brennan, hinted at Anna’s comeback. A user on X quoted a tweet about Hughes’s debut on GH in 1985. The fan wrote, “We need Anna back to blow the #WSB caper wide open, get Cullum and Sidwell taken down!”

Soon, another user commented, “I miss Anna.” McKenna replied to the comment, “Finola is on her way back!” The user burst out with happiness while responding, “That’s awesome news! Thanks for letting us know.”

Do not miss the upcoming episodes of General Hospital to find out the twists after Anna’s return.
