A 56-year-old eyewitness said the incident appeared to be pre-planned. According to him, just before the service started, some people suddenly arrived with pepper spray and attacked the opposing group. After this, pistols were allegedly fired and knives were also seen. He said there was already tension between the old and new board members over money management and control.

People ran out of the Gurudwara in fear

According to eyewitnesses, as soon as the attack started, many people ran out of the gurudwara out of fear. However, it is a matter of relief that no one’s life was in danger. According to reports, all the injured were treated by paramedics and an emergency doctor present at the spot. German police have detained at least one suspect.
