Germany’s World Cup winner reveals Victoria’s Secret model girlfriend
German veteran defender Mats Hummels, who with Germany won the 2014 World Cup, made his first public appearance with Victoria’s Secret model Nicola Cavanis at the 2024 Ballon d’Or awards ceremony.

Hummels, 35, and Cavanis, 25, attended a star-studded event at the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris on Oct. 28. The German center-back wore a black tuxedo, while his girlfriend wore a long white dress.
According to German newspaper Bildthis is the first time Hummels and Cavanis publicly announced their relationship, after many dating rumors. The two held hands and comfortably took photos on the red carpet.
Hummels was previously married to Cathy Fischer but got divorced in November 2022.
Rumors about Hummels having a new love arose when Cavanis was spotted with a family member of the German star ahead of the Champions League final between Borussia Dortmund and Real Madrid in Wembley Stadium, London on June 1, 2024. Hummels played the full 90 minutes, but Dortmund lost 0-2 after conceding from Dani Carvajal and Vinicius Junior.
Cavanis found success as a model for a number of brands. She revealed that she started modeling at the age of 15, and joined a modeling agency two years after graduating from school.
Cavanis rose to fame after becoming the face of Nivea’s campaign in February 2021. She has also represented other major fashion brands including Puma, Victoria’s Secret, MCM, New Yorker and Tchibo.
The German supermodel currently has 1.9 million followers on Instagram and 500,000 on TikTok.
Hummels played for Bayern Munich youth team and the first team from 2007 to 2009. He became one of the world’s top defenders when he played for Dortmund from 2009 to 2016, winning two Bundesliga titles, a German Cup and a German Super Cup.
Hummels returned to Munich in 2016 before coming back to Dortmund in 2019. After the Champions League final defeat to Madrid at Wembley, the 35-year-old joined Roma on a free transfer.
At the international level, Hummes scored 5 goals in 78 appearances for Germany.
