Choose a clean and sacred place under a coconut tree for the puja. Clean the place first and then sit there in a meditative posture. This place will symbolize purity and peace.

While performing the Puja, spread a clean mat and sit facing the tree. By doing this, your prayers and meditation are focused in the right direction and the effect of the Puja increases.

Before the puja, take water in your mouth and rinse it three times. This is a purification process, which purifies both your body and mind and makes you mentally ready for the puja.

When worshipping a coconut tree, first pour pure water on its trunk. This symbolizes respect for nature and the gods and gives the tree coolness and purity, making your prayers more effective.

After offering water on the trunk, apply a tilak with roli. It is a symbol of auspiciousness and good fortune, and applying it acknowledges the divinity of the tree. Applying tilak further increases the sanctity of the puja.

Next, offer rice around the tree. Rice is considered a symbol of purity and perfection, and offering it around the tree pleases the gods and brings prosperity in life.

After offering rice, chant the mantras as per the rituals. Chanting mantras purifies the environment and spreads positive energy, which helps your prayers reach the gods quickly.

Finally, offer flowers under the tree and burn incense. Flowers symbolize beauty and purity, while burning incense purifies the atmosphere and brings blessings from the gods. This completes the puja and brings auspicious results.

While worshipping the coconut tree, you can chant any holy mantra, such as “Om Namo Bhagwate Vasudevay” or the mantra of Goddess Lakshmi. Chanting these mantras brings positive energy and brings auspiciousness and prosperity in life.

After chanting the mantra, it is considered auspicious to circumambulate the coconut tree 11 times. Circumambulation brings blessings of Lord Vishnu and Goddess Lakshmi, and brings happiness and prosperity in life. Circumambulating increases the effect of the puja even more.

Chanting the stotras of Lord Vishnu and Goddess Lakshmi after the Parikrama is highly beneficial. This chanting becomes a medium to fulfill the wishes of the devotee and attain happiness, peace and wealth in life.
