GGIC, KD Singh Stadium and LU become champions: Great performance of players in Khelo India Women’s League
Lucknow, Read: With the aim of promoting women’s sports, Asmita Khelo India District Women’s League was organized at KD Singh Babu Stadium. In this league organized by Uttar Pradesh Olympic Association, players performed brilliantly in Kabaddi, Handball and Volleyball competitions. KD Singh Babu Stadium became champion in handball, GGIC Vikasnagar team became champion in Kabaddi and Lucknow University team became champion in volleyball.
In the Kabaddi competition held at Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee Multipurpose Hall, GGIC Vikasnagar won the title by defeating Dayanand Girls College 37-12 in the final. In the semi-finals, Dayanand Girls College defeated SKD Academy 38-12, while GGIC defeated Chowk Stadium 37-13. The competition was inaugurated by Dr. Hema Bindu Nayak, while at the end, social worker Muralidhar Ahuja distributed the prizes.
KD Singh Stadium winner in handball
In the handball final, host KD Singh Babu Stadium won the title by defeating KV AMC 10-7. In the semi-finals, KD Singh defeated Mount Carmel and KV AMC defeated GGIC to enter the finals. Muralidhar Ahuja inaugurated the competition.
Lucknow University Champion in Volleyball
In the volleyball final, Lucknow University won the title by defeating SVF 15-10. In the semi-finals, LU defeated DPS and SVF defeated KD Singh Babu Stadium to reach the finals. The inauguration was done by Lucknow Volleyball Association Secretary Sanjay Kumar Singh.
