Ghazipur Encounter: Another case of police encounter has come to light in UP, in which the police have killed a criminal Mohammad Zahid alias Sonu, who had a bounty of Rs. 1 lakh on his head. Zahid was accused of killing two RPF jawans by throwing them off a moving train. The criminal was shot in a joint operation by the Noida unit of STF and Ghazipur police.

According to the information, Zahid, a resident of Phulwari Sharif in Patna, the capital of Bihar, was associated with a liquor smuggling gang. Several cases of kidnapping, assault and liquor smuggling are registered against Zahid. He was absconding for a long time. It is being told that during an encounter in Ghazipur's Dildarnagar police station area, Zahid was shot and he was seriously injured. After which the police took him to the hospital, where the doctors declared him dead.

According to the police, on late Monday night, a miscreant named Zahid, who was looking for smuggling, had an encounter with the police at Dildarnagar Zamania turn. As soon as he saw the police, Zahid started firing in which two constables were injured. After the encounter, the police recovered an illegal pistol, .32 bore, two empty cartridges and a bag of illegal country liquor from Zahid.

He was accused of killing two RPF jawans

According to reports, two RPF jawans Javed Khan and Pramod Kumar were killed by throwing them off the Barmer-Guwahati Express train on the night of 19-20 August. Police said that the RPF jawans were trying to stop illegal smuggling of liquor in the train. During this, the liquor smugglers first beat up the two jawans brutally and then threw them off the moving train. Due to which both of them died.

The bodies of RPF constables Javed Khan and Pramod Kumar were found in Gahmar police station area of ​​Ghazipur on Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay-Danapur railway line. After initial investigation, the police had said that this incident is linked to the liquor mafia of Bihar. One of the accused in this case, Premchand Verma, who is a resident of Patna Bitha, was injured in the encounter. He was arrested on 28 August. Other arrested accused include Bilendra Pasi, Pankaj, Vinay, Ravi and Ravi Kumar.
