Dead rat found with food in Ghazipur’s famous dhaba, administration seized it after video went viral

Samrat Dhaba Viral Video: A shocking case has come to light from Ghazipur district of Uttar Pradesh, which has raised a big question on the cleanliness and quality of food in the dhabas located on the highway. A dead rat was found in the food served to customers in the old and famous Samrat Dhaba of the district located on Ghazipur-Varanasi Highway. This incident is being told of 18th December 2025.

It is being told that some passengers had stopped at the dhaba to have food and when they ordered curd, they were shocked to see a dead rat in the plate of curd. The customers immediately protested to the dhaba staff and made a video on the spot, which is now going viral on social media.

At present no FIR has been registered, but the administration has indicated strict action.

Video went viral on social media

In the viral video, it can be clearly seen that a dead rat is lying in the middle of the bowl of curd. After the video surfaced, social media users got furious and started reacting sharply about the negligence of the dhaba.

Especially the travelers passing through the highway raised the question that when a famous and old dhaba can commit such a mistake, then what will be the condition of other dhabas. People called this incident a direct play with the health of the passengers and demanded strict action from the administration.

Department team raided Samrat Dhaba

After the matter came to light, the Food and Drug Administration (FSDA) came into action. The department team raided Samrat Dhaba and investigated, where many evidences of filth and negligence were found. After this, the administration sealed the dhaba with immediate effect.

Officials have also taken samples of food items, which have been sent to the lab for testing. Further legal action will be taken after the investigation report comes. At present, this incident has raised serious questions on the monitoring system of dhabas and hotels on the highway and people are demanding regular checks.
