Gift to these ’employees’ in UP, government gave good news

Lucknow. The Uttar Pradesh government has taken a decision to provide relief to the contract drivers and conductors working in the Transport Corporation before the New Year. This decision is considered to provide financial support to these employees who have been working for a long time with limited remuneration. UP Roadways has announced that the increase in per kilometer payment rate will be implemented from January 1, 2026, which will directly benefit thousands of contractual workers.

Under this decision of the government, the per kilometer payment for drivers and conductors working under the Mukhyamantri Gramin Janta Seva Yojana has been increased by making it equal. Now they will get more remuneration than before. Along with this, small but significant increases have also been made in other services, which will improve the total income.

Not only the per kilometer rate, but the incentive amount has also been increased. Where earlier the additional incentive was Rs 3,000, it has been increased to Rs 4,000. This will provide more encouragement to regular and better performing employees.

Apart from this, a provision has also been made to give special benefits to drivers who have been serving for a long time. Contract drivers who have completed 10 years and 20 years of service will be given an additional amount of Rs 750 and Rs 1500 respectively. This step is considered important towards giving respect to experience and continuous service.

The monthly income under the new Uttam and Uttam Incentive Schemes has also been redefined. Drivers and conductors who meet the set standards will now get more salary than before, which will improve their financial condition. Fixing fixed rate for employees providing continuous service is also a major feature of this decision.

Overall, this decision of UP Roadways is going to bring a smile on the faces of contract drivers and operators. Even if the increase is not very big, but in times of inflation, this step will recognize their hard work and instill confidence in the future.
