Gift to women in Bihar, Nitish government gave good news

Patna. Bihar government has taken a big initiative for the working women of the state. ‘Akanksha’ hostel, run by Women and Child Development Corporation under the aegis of Social Welfare Department, was inaugurated in IAS Colony, Rupaspur. Bed facility for 50 women has been provided in this hostel.

This initiative will provide safe accommodation, comfortable facilities and mental security to the working women of Bihar. This scheme of the state government will not only help women become self-reliant but will also provide them an opportunity to perform better at the workplace.

Plans for further expansion in the future

Let us tell you that after Muzaffarpur and Patna, now there is a plan to open similar hostels in Gayaji, Darbhanga and Bhagalpur also. This will provide safe and convenient accommodation to women working in different parts of the state.

Hostel facilities

The cost of staying in the hostel is completely free. The monthly fee for food has been fixed at Rs 3,000. Facilities available at the hostel include: Bed, Locker, Table-Chair, 24-hour CCTV surveillance, Uninterruptible power and RO drinking water, Television and Free Wi-Fi. Necessary personnel including superintendent, assistant superintendent and cook have been appointed for its operation.

Required Documents

The following documents are mandatory at the time of application. Certificate of employment, identity card, appointment letter and salary slip, details of local guardian, related certificate in case of disability etc.

application process

Interested women can apply online on the official website of Women and Child Development Corporation. The allotment will be done on “first come, first served” basis. Counseling process will be conducted for final selection. The maximum monthly income limit of the applicant has been fixed at Rs 75,000.
