Girl burnt by boiling water dies in Kota, family in mourning

Three and a half year old girl Rumaysha, who was burnt by boiling water in the bathroom in Kota’s Ramganjmandi, died during treatment. Calling it an accident, the family has refused postmortem and legal action.

Rajasthan: A very tragic accident in Ramganjmandi area of ​​Kota left the entire family in deep shock. Rumaysha, three and a half year old daughter of Amjad Khan, resident of Ward No. 24, Govardhanpuram, Mataji Road, died during treatment on Friday morning. The girl was badly burnt by boiling water in the bathroom on Thursday.

Rumaysha’s father Amjad Khan told that around 9 am on Thursday his wife was preparing to bathe the child. Hot water from the geyser was kept in a bucket in the bathroom. Meanwhile, the girl suddenly went to the bathroom and poured boiling water kept in a bucket on herself.

Parents ran as soon as they heard the scream

The father told that as soon as Rumayasha poured hot water on herself, she started screaming loudly. As soon as the parents heard the girl’s voice, they immediately ran towards the bathroom. By then the girl’s body was seriously burnt.

Without wasting any time, the family took Rumaysha to the government hospital in Ramganjmandi. The doctors there provided first aid, but the girl’s condition remained very serious. When his condition deteriorated late at night, the doctors referred him to MBS Hospital in Kota.

Treatment in MBS Hospital

Rumayasha was undergoing treatment in the burn ward of MBS Hospital. The team of doctors was continuously monitoring his condition. However, around 5 am on Friday morning, his health suddenly deteriorated and he died during treatment.

There was chaos in the family as soon as the news of the girl’s death was received. The parents are in bad condition, crying. Rumaysha was one of the twin daughters of her parents, which made the incident even more painful for the family.

The family refused postmortem

Amjad Khan told that he has decided not to conduct postmortem of the girl and not to take any kind of legal action. In this regard, a written application has also been submitted to the ASI of Ramganjmandi police station.

The family says that it was a completely unfortunate accident. Amjad Khan works as a delivery boy in a courier company. Amidst limited resources, the family is trying to overcome the grief of losing their innocent girl.

This incident is also a serious warning regarding the safety of children at home, how much harm a little carelessness can cause.
