Girl student made victim of fraud after clicking link, sent morphed pictures to family
Cyber Crime News: An MSc student had clicked on a link on social media 5 days ago, which proved to be a nightmare for her. Due to this link, the fraudsters gained access to his personal information and photo gallery. Later, she started receiving calls from foreign numbers +92 and +94, informing her that she had taken loans of Rs 3,746 and Rs 1,741, which she was unable to repay. This incident happened in Indore.
The fraudsters threatened her to repay the loan and said that if she did not return the money, her edited photos would be shared with her contacts. The girl ignored the calls, but the thugs then sent her morphed pictures to her father and relatives. It was also said in the message that if the loan amount was not repaid soon, these pictures would be spread to more people.

The police registered a complaint in the cyber helpdesk and started investigating the matter seriously. Police say the girl had unknowingly clicked on a suspicious link, following which the thugs gained access to her phone's gallery and contacts. Now the police is busy searching for the accused.
