Girl who took off her clothes in protest against hijab goes missing, increased concern over student's safety

A few days ago, an incident happened in Iran, which strictly implements Sharia law, which shocked the whole world. Recently, a video went viral on social media in which it was claimed that a student at Islamic Azad University of Iran is roaming around the campus wearing innerwear.

It was claimed that the girl took off her clothes in protest against the Islamic dress (hijab). It is being told that the girl's name is Ahau Daryaai.

The student was under mental pressure: Police

According to the information, the police has taken him into custody for roaming around half naked in the university (Iran Student strips to Underwear). Let us tell you that in Iran, not wearing hijab is punishable by jail. A few days ago, the police had said that the student was suffering from severe mental pressure (mental health issue). After interrogation, he has been sent to a psychiatric hospital.

University officials also said the woman was suffering from mental health issues. Even though the Iranian police is saying that the girl is in a psychiatric hospital, it has not been confirmed yet where she is.

Police had harassed Ahau Daryai!

Iranian journalist Masih Alinejad said on this incident that University Morality Police in Iran had harassed Ahou Daryaei for not wearing hijab properly.
Ahau Daryai did this to take revenge. This incident is an important event for the fight for Iranian women's freedom. Alinejad also told that this incident happened at Tehran's Science and Research University.

International organizations protested against the detention

Many international organizations have also expressed concern over the detention of the student. Amnesty Iran has demanded the immediate release of the student. “Iranian authorities should immediately and unconditionally release the university student who was violently arrested on November 2,” the human rights organization wrote in a post on Twitter on Saturday. “At the same time, it must also be ensured that he is able to contact his family and a lawyer.”

U.N. special envoy for Iran Mai Sato wrote on her X account, “She will be following this incident closely, including how the authorities respond.”
