Dhawan told in his book that during the Australia tour, he was roaming in the hotel lobby with his British girlfriend Ellen. The team management came to know about this and a senior selector saw him. He did not say anything at that time but later when his performance was very poor, his chances reduced and he was dropped from the team. However, Dhawan later made a wonderful comeback and was successful in playing for Team India for a long time.
