Video: Glass on top of glass… Vande Bharat sleeper train ran at a speed of 180 KM/H; not a drop of water spilled

Indian Railways’ Vande Bharat Sleeper train has achieved a speed of 180 kilometers per hour on the Kota-Nagda section. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav has shared a video on social media in which everyone is surprised to see the stability of the train even at such a speed. It is seen in the video that glasses filled with water kept inside the train are stacked one above the other. The train is running at a speed of 180 km per hour, the speed shown on the mobile screen is up to 182, but not even a drop of water falls from the glasses. This ‘water test’ is a living proof of the excellent technology and stability of the train.

This trial was conducted under the supervision of Commissioner of Railway Safety (CRS). Railway Minister Ashwini wrote in her post, “Vande Bharat Sleeper was tested today by Commissioner Railway Safety. It ran at a speed of 180 km per hour on the Kota-Nagda section. And our own water test shows the technical qualities of this new generation train.” This test is special because Vande Bharat Sleeper is being made for long distance night travel. The currently running Vande Bharat trains are semi-high speed, with a design speed of 180 km per hour, but a maximum operating speed of 160 km per hour. The average speed becomes lower than this due to track conditions, stoppages and maintenance.

रात की यात्रा में आएगा बड़ा बदलाव?

Vande Bharat Sleeper Train is going to start soon. This AC class will completely change long distance travel for passengers. According to the Railway Ministry, this train will be the right mix of speed, comfort and modern facilities.

It will first start on busy routes, then gradually it will reach all routes. Travel time will be significantly reduced, and overnight travel will become more convenient. This train will not only run faster but will also provide better sleep and comfort to the passengers. This train made with new technology is part of the ambitious plan of Indian Railways. It is taking the country towards high-speed rail network.
