Global boom of UP’s dairy products: Export reached Rs 489 crore with 10.16% growth, increase in income of cattle herders.

Lucknow, Read: The effect of efforts to promote animal husbandry and dairy sector in the state is visible in the form of increase in exports. According to official data, exports of dairy products, eggs, natural honey and other animal-based food products have registered a growth of about 10.16 percent.

The exports of this category between April 2023 and November 2024 were Rs 444.10 crore, which increased to Rs 489.24 crore during April 2024 to November 2025. Thus an increase of about Rs 45 crore has been recorded. The increasing demand for milk, ghee, cheese, butter and milk powder along with eggs and honey in the international market has given impetus to exports.

The state’s competitiveness has been strengthened by the expansion of dairy processing units, cold chain network and better packaging and quality control. Experts believe that along with increasing the income of cattle herders, the rural economy is also getting strengthened.
