Globus Spirits reported a sharp jump in profitability in the fourth quarter, with net profit surging 320% year-on-year (YoY) despite a marginal decline in revenue. The company posted a net profit of ₹21 crore for Q4, compared to ₹5 crore in the corresponding quarter last year, reflecting strong operational improvement and better margins.
Revenue from operations slipped 2.7% YoY to ₹851 crore against ₹875 crore reported in the year-ago period. However, the decline in topline did not impact earnings growth as the company witnessed significant expansion in operating performance during the quarter.
EBITDA rose 74% YoY to ₹66.5 crore from ₹38.3 crore in the same quarter last year. Operating margin improved sharply to 7.8% compared to 4.4% a year ago, indicating improved cost efficiencies and stronger profitability across segments.
The strong rise in EBITDA and margin expansion helped Globus Spirits deliver robust bottom-line growth during the quarter, even as revenue remained under pressure.
