Lucknow. On the Governor’s address in the UP Legislative Council, CM Yogi said that the ‘Governor’ is the constitutional head of the state and the conduct of our opposition, especially the Chief Opposition, towards a constitutional head not only weakens democracy, but also comes under the ambit of contempt of prominent personalities associated with the constitutional system.

He further said, it is the responsibility of all of us to respect our national symbols, to have respect and reverence for the constitutional heads under the system of the Constitution and not to behave in a manner that will lead the future generations of the country in the wrong direction. Due to the double engine government’s clear policy, clean intentions and commitment towards good governance, today Uttar Pradesh has succeeded in becoming a breakthrough in the country’s economy from a bottleneck. Now Uttar Pradesh is moving forward strongly in its journey from Revenue Deficit to Revenue Surplus and from disturbance to festival state.
The Chief Minister said, the result of the work of the double engine government is that the campaign to make Uttar Pradesh strong, safe and self-reliant through public welfare schemes, employment generation campaigns, efforts to establish the state as an excellent destination for investment and social security is being seen effectively.
The first condition of development is Rule of Law and to achieve this goal the government worked with full strength. Record police recruitments were made in the state, special attention was given to women empowerment, new schemes were made for the youth and work was done for development of modern policing and strong cyber and forensic infrastructure. Magh Mela has just concluded in Prayagraj. Yesterday on the occasion of Mahashivratri, more than 40 lakh devotees took bath in Triveni in Prayagraj. Earlier, only a few lakh devotees used to come to Magh Mela, whereas this time more than 22 crore devotees took a dip of faith in Triveni Sangam.
The Chief Minister said, in the last eight years, 2,19,000 policemen were recruited, out of which 20 percent reservation was given for daughters. At that time there were a total of 10,000 women personnel in the Uttar Pradesh Police Force, which has increased to more than 44,000 today. There has been an unprecedented increase in the capacity and training capacity of the police. Today, there has been an unprecedented change in the police infrastructure. Now, in place of tile barracks, barracks for police personnel have been built in a high-rise building. Seven police commissionerates are presenting a new model of modern policing. Also said, if someone for his political selfishness glorifies the invaders who attacked the soul of India and trampled the faith of India, then I think today’s ‘New India’ and ‘New Uttar Pradesh’ are not ready to accept it. Glorifying the invaders, making statements in support of anti-national elements or making derogatory remarks towards national symbols… is no less than treason.
The Chief Minister said, the 150th year of Vande Mataram is going on. We are grateful to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who issued a notification to make the national anthem mandatory in the country. This ‘national anthem’ is a symbol of the pride and glory of India. On one hand, the opposition is trying to throw dust in the eyes of the public in the name of the Constitution and on the other hand, it is creating opposition to the national anthem ‘Vande Mataram’. Their members are saying openly that we will not stand for Vande Mataram, we will not sing it. What does it mean?
