Godrej Properties acquires 20-acre land in Bengaluru with Rs 1,350 crore revenue potential
Godrej Properties Limited (GPL), a prominent real estate developer in India, has announced the acquisition of a 20-acre land parcel in East Bengaluru. The company plans to develop a premium residential project on this site, which is expected to generate an estimated revenue of approximately ₹1,350 crore, thereby enhancing its presence in one of the city’s most active residential micro-markets.
The newly acquired land is strategically located near NH-648 Main Road, within the Whitefield growth corridor. This area is a well-established residential and commercial zone, known for its proximity to technology firms and service-led employment opportunities. The location offers convenient access to the Whitefield–ITPL region and the NH-648 corridor, ensuring seamless connectivity across East and South Bengaluru. Additionally, the operational metro stations at Kadugodi and Hopefarm on the Purple Line further enhance accessibility to key parts of the city.
Over the past decade, the micro-market surrounding the land parcel has developed significantly, supported by a robust social infrastructure. The presence of reputed schools, healthcare facilities, retail destinations, and leisure avenues has contributed to its evolution into a self-sustained urban ecosystem. Residential demand in the area has remained stable, driven by consistent end-user interest in both mid and premium housing categories.
Gaurav Pandey, MD & CEO of Godrej Properties, commented on the acquisition, stating, “Homebuyers in Bengaluru continue to prioritise thoughtfully designed communities that offer convenience, holistic amenities, and long-term liveability. This land parcel allows us to plan a residential project that aligns with these expectations in a location that has shown steady and diverse housing demand. We will endeavour to create a development that brings together quality design, functionality, and an enhanced living experience for our customers.”
