Gold-Silver Price Today: Gold and silver prices on fire on Holi, gold became costlier by Rs 2000 and silver by Rs 5500.
Gold-Silver Price Today 04 March: On the day of Holi, a sharp increase in the prices of gold and silver is being seen in the domestic market. This surge has come after the decline in the previous trading session and has also got the help of the international market. Geo-political uncertainty has increased due to air strikes on Iran by America and Israel, due to which investors are moving towards safe investments.
Gold prices have seen a rise of more than Rs 2,000 and silver prices of more than Rs 5,500 on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) today. Gold for April contract delivery reached Rs 1,63,265 per 10 grams, registering a rise of Rs 2,157, while silver for May contract delivery reached Rs 2,71,099 per kg, registering a rise of Rs 5,781. Earlier in the last session, a decline in the prices of both the metals was seen.
Condition of gold and silver in international market
In the international market, spot gold reached $ 5,138.46 an ounce, showing a rise of 1%, while April gold futures are trading at $ 5,147.10 an ounce, up 0.5%. Similarly, spot silver has reached $83.27 an ounce with a gain of 1.4%. So far in the year 2026, a rise of 19% in gold and 16% in silver has been recorded.

Experts say that investing in gold and silver is beneficial for the long term, but at present it would be better to postpone making new deals until the market becomes stable. Internationally, gold has support at $4,984-5,055 an ounce and resistance at $5,220-5,280, while silver has support at $74-78.80 and resistance at $88-92.40.

In the domestic market, the support of gold on MCX is between Rs 1,57,700–1,59,100 per 10 grams and the resistance is between Rs 1,63,500–1,65,800, while the support of silver is seen between Rs 2,51,500–2,57,700 per kg and the resistance is seen between Rs 2,71,000–2,78,800. According to experts, April gold on MCX can reach Rs 1,63,000 and May silver can reach Rs 2,70,000.
