Business Desk – Gold Silver Price Today: With the beginning of the week, there has been a softening in the prices of gold and silver. On Sunday, June 22, 2026, the prices of precious metals appeared under pressure in the international and domestic commodity markets. The effect of geopolitical developments in the Middle East, fluctuations in crude oil prices and changed strategies of investors is visible on the gold and silver market. Last week too, a greater decline was recorded in silver than gold.
Why did the decline in gold and silver start?
Due to increased tension in the Middle East in the last few days, investors had turned to gold as a safe haven, due to which the prices increased. But now due to the expectation of easing of tension and profit booking by investors, pressure is visible in the prices of gold and silver.
Besides, the movement of dollar index and global markets is also affecting the prices of precious metals. On the first day of the week, Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Bengaluru: Rs 2,49,900 per kg and Chennai and Hyderabad: Rs 2,54,900 per kg.
