Gold falls 2.26% to 4,677 while silver drops 2.75%

Metals are showing a mixed trend right now. Short term pressure is visible. But long term gains are still strong in many assets.

But the bigger picture is still strong. Gold has gained over 50.26 percent in a year. Silver has surged 128.88 percent. This shows strong long term demand.

Platinum is at 1983.20 USD per ounce. It fell 0.33 percent daily. Year to date change is negative at 4.19 percent. But yearly growth is high at 111.95 percent.

Lithium jumps 33.76 percent YTD while Copper and Steel remain under pressure

Lithium is one of the top performers. It is priced at 158500 CNY per ton. It fell 0.63 percent daily. But year to date growth is strong at 33.76 percent. Yearly gain is 118.32 percent.

Copper is at 5.5630 USD per pound. It dropped 1.08 percent daily. Monthly decline is 3.65 percent. Year to date change is negative at 2.09 percent. Still, yearly growth is 15.82 percent.

Steel prices are stable. Steel in China is at 3103 CNY per ton. It fell just 0.06 percent daily. Year to date growth is minimal at 0.23 percent.

HRC steel is stronger. It is at 1075 USD per ton. It gained 0.47 percent daily. Year to date growth is 14.97 percent. Yearly gain is 17.74 percent.

Scrap steel rises 14.50 percent YTD while Silicon declines 13.97 percent yearly

Scrap steel is showing steady growth. It is priced at 418.50 USD per ton. It gained 1.09 percent daily. Year to date growth is 14.50 percent. Yearly gain is 12.50 percent.

Iron ore in China is at 799.50 CNY per ton. It fell 0.68 percent daily. Year to date growth is 1.27 percent. Global iron ore is at 107.45 USD per ton. It is flat daily. Year to date growth is 0.30 percent.

Silicon is weak. It is priced at 8285 CNY per ton. It fell 0.18 percent daily. Yearly decline is 13.97 percent.

Titanium is stable at 47.00 CNY per kg. There is no daily change. Year to date growth is 2.17 percent. Yearly change is slightly negative at 3.09 percent.

Overall, metals are showing short term weakness. But long term gains remain strong for precious metals and lithium. Industrial metals are more stable but slower in growth.
