Gold-Silver: Gold and silver prices back on track, silver became costlier by Rs 7000 as soon as the market opened, gold increased by Rs 500
Gold-Silver Price Today 27 Feb: April gold futures on MCX rose by Rs 500 or 0.30% to Rs 1,60,177 per 10 grams. At the same time, March silver futures jumped by more than Rs 7,100 i.e. about 3% in early trade and started trading at Rs 2,66,800 per kg. In the previous session, April gold futures had fallen by about 1% and closed at Rs 1,59,709 per 10 grams.
On MCX, gold for delivery on April 2, 2026 rose by ₹ 441 (0.28%) in the morning to reach ₹ 1,60,150 per 10 grams. Its closing price last night was ₹1,59,968. A strong rise was seen in silver this morning. Silver with expiry of March 5, 2026 was trading at ₹2,66,019 per kg with a huge rise of ₹6,350 (2.45%) by 09:02 am.
Condition of gold and silver in international market
However, a decline in silver prices has been seen in the international market. Spot silver fell $1.91 (2.15%) to $87.28 an ounce. The effect of this international decline can be felt on the domestic market also. At the same time, international prices of gold remain stable. In the global market, the price of gold is trading at $ 5,176.21 per ounce with a slight increase. Experts believe that due to the strength of the dollar and global cues, fluctuations are being seen continuously in gold and silver.
Gold price can go up to Rs 1.85 lakh
Leading brokerage firm Motilal Oswal has predicted that domestic gold prices may reach ₹ 1,85,000 per 10 grams in the next 12 months. At the same time, if global tension increases, international gold prices may go up to $7,500.

Silver price in major cities
Talking about today’s local market, silver has reached ₹ 2,60,580 per kg in Mumbai. In Delhi it remains at the level of ₹ 2,60,130, while in Kolkata it is trading around ₹ 2,60,230. Silver prices are high in the cities of South India. Silver is trading at ₹ 2,61,340 in Chennai, ₹ 2,60,990 in Hyderabad and ₹ 2,60,780 per kg in Bengaluru.
