Experts attribute this trend to the strengthening US dollar and uncertainty over global monetary policies. Due to increasing conflicts in the Middle East, crude oil prices are skyrocketing, which has further increased the fear of rising inflation.

As a result, central banks may be forced to maintain a tight monetary stance for a longer period of time. In the international market, spot gold is trading at $4,986.34 per ounce.
