Business Desk – Gold Silver Price Today: The trend of increase in gold prices continues across the country. On the morning of 8 May, gold rates increased in all major cities. In the capital Delhi, the price of 24 carat gold has reached Rs 153,160 per 10 grams.

In Mumbai, the rate of 24 carat gold was recorded at Rs 153,010 per 10 grams. Last day, the price of gold had increased by Rs 600 in the bullion market of Delhi, due to which the price reached Rs 156,000 per 10 grams. Spot gold is trading at $4,734.28 per ounce in the international market.

Latest gold rates in big cities

Gold prices remain high in the bullion markets across the country. In the capital Delhi, the rate of 22 carat gold was recorded at Rs 140,410 per 10 grams, while 24 carat gold is trading at Rs 153,160. Even in Jaipur, Lucknow and Chandigarh, gold prices remain at par with Delhi.

In Mumbai, Kolkata and Hyderabad, the price of 22 carat gold stood at Rs 140,260, while 24 carat gold reached Rs 153,010 per 10 grams. Whereas, in Ahmedabad and Bhopal, the rate of 22 carat gold was recorded at Rs 140,310 and the rate of 24 carat gold was recorded at Rs 153,060.

Gold prices in South India remained higher than other cities. In Chennai, 22 carat gold was seen trading at Rs 141,020 per 10 grams and 24 carat gold at Rs 153,840.

Slight increase in silver prices

A slight increase was seen in the prices of silver. The price of silver has increased by Rs 100 per kg. Across the country, the price of 1 kg silver stood at Rs 275,100. Silver rates in major cities of the country, including Delhi and Mumbai

In places like Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Chandigarh, silver is being sold at the rate of Rs 270,100 per kg.

Silver rates in Chennai and Hyderabad

In Chennai and Hyderabad, silver is being sold at the rate of around Rs 275,100 per kg. Prices in South India are higher than in the states of North India.

Silver prices in specific cities of the country

In the capital Delhi, the price of one kilogram of silver was recorded at Rs 270,100. Silver is also being sold at this price in Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Bhopal, Lucknow and Chandigarh.

Meanwhile, silver prices remain slightly higher in some cities of South India. In Chennai and Kerala, the price of one kilogram of silver has reached Rs 275,100, which is Rs 5,000 more than other big cities. On the other hand, in Kolkata also silver is being sold at the rate of Rs 270,100 per kg.
