Chandigarh: Jubilee Chandigarh Gladiators on Sunday won the Chandigarh Golf League being held at Chandigarh Golf Club Greens Golf Leaguee defeated Canam Raptors 5-2 in a one-sided encounter.Punjab Aces registered a stunning 6-1 win over Golf Masters on the ninth day of the league.Hunting Hawks once again registered a 5-2 win, this time over Soaring Eagles.Fairway Comets won their first match this season with a stunning 6-1 scoreline against Empire. The win has put them on the path to qualification, with Sandeep Sandhu winning his singles game 1-up and Admiral Sunil Lamba scoring 3&2 points. Raman Gill and Sandeep Sandhu (Bawa) won their four-ball game 4&3, however, the rest of the games were close and could have gone either way. Prithvi Sandhu and Gurpreet Singh Khera sealed the match with a 2&1 win.
Aces and Tee Birds Aces and Tee Birds के In the match played between, Brigadier HPS Dhillon (5&3) and Rupinder Singh (4&2) gave Aces a good start by winning their singles games. Tejinder Grewal and Brigadier Manmohan Singh Dhanoa registered a brilliant win with scores of 8&7 to keep the points coming, while Balpreet Ghuman-Shiv Sekhon also scored 5&4.Continuing their fine form, the Gladiators registered their second consecutive win after giving a tough fight to Canam Raptors. SDS Baath won 6&5 and Col Narjit Singh made his mark in singles by winning 4&2. Col IS Bains and Maj Gen Amarjit Singh played some close games despite registering wins of 8&7.Hunting Hawks won their third consecutive match by the same scoreline and just like the other matches, the story went in their favour in singles- thanks to RS Dagar and Kulwaran Singh. In an intense contest, Amrik Randhawa and VK Singh won their games 4&3, while the last two games were tied 3&2.
