2 spoons gond katira
Juice of 1-2 lemons
2 to 3 tablespoons desi unrefined sugar as per taste
2 cups cold water
1 teaspoon black salt
1 teaspoon roasted cumin powder
ice cubes
fresh mint leaves to garnish
Lemon slices to garnish

Gond Katira Recipe (Gond Katira Recipe In Hindi)

First of all, soak Gond Katira in a small bowl in about 1 cup hot water for at least 4 to 5 hours overnight. Now squeeze fresh lemon juice into it in a jug or a big glass. Then add desi sugar to it and mix well until it dissolves completely in lemon juice. Now add cold water to the jug and mix everything together. Taste it a little and check sweetness, sourness and salt as per your taste. Then slowly add the soaked gond katira into the shikanji mixture. If using, also add soaked chia seeds. After this, stir slowly to mix it. Now keep this Gond Katira Sharbat in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to 1 hour so that it cools down properly. Now put ice cubes in the glass and then pour the chilled Gond Katira Sharbat over the ice. If you want, you can garnish it with fresh mint leaves and a slice of lemon.
