Good news for central employees: can get double benefit

New Delhi. The coming time is indicating relief and benefits for the central employees in many ways. The 8th Pay Commission is busy finalizing its recommendations and a series of meetings is going on. Recently a meeting was held in Dehradun, while soon important discussions are going to be held in Delhi also. Meanwhile, various employee organizations are placing their demands before the Commission, due to which the hope of employees getting ‘double benefit’ has increased.

demand for salary increase

Employee organizations have demanded a major increase in the minimum wage. Especially for Group-D (Level-1) employees, it has been proposed to increase the basic pay to Rs 50,000. Along with this, a demand has been made to implement 3.83 fitment factor, due to which there can be a direct and big jump in the salary.

Big change in education allowance

Keeping in mind the education of the children of the employees, the demand for increasing the Child Education Allowance has also come to the fore. It has been suggested to increase the current amount to Rs 7,000 per month. Not only this, instead of limiting it to 12th, there has also been a demand to extend it till graduation.

New age digital allowance

For the first time, the demand for digital support allowance for employees has been raised. Under this, there is a proposal to give Rs 2,000 every month for Internet and AI based works. With changing times, this facility can make the work of employees easier.

Increase in HRA and other allowances

There has also been a demand to increase the House Rent Allowance (HRA). The existing rates of 10%, 20% and 30% have been proposed to be increased to 12%, 24% and 36%. Apart from this, it has also been said to increase the transport allowance, which can provide relief in the daily expenses of the employees.

Expect relief in holidays and bonuses

Employee organizations have also demanded changes in the holiday rules. This includes the proposal to increase casual leave, earned leave and medical leave. Besides, a demand has also been made to increase the limit of leave encashment at the time of retirement and increase the bonus up to four times.
