Kasganj. The Uttar Pradesh government has announced a big relief for the daughters of labor families. Uttar Pradesh Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board has decided to provide financial assistance in the marriage of daughters of workers under “Kanya Vivah Sahayata Yojana”.
What benefits will you get under the scheme?
Under this scheme, Rs 85 thousand will be sent directly to the bank account for the marriage of daughters of registered labor families. Apart from this, Rs 15,000 will be set aside for mass wedding expenses, which include food and other arrangements during the wedding ceremony. The mass marriage will be organized in Aligarh at the divisional level on 12th April. The deadline to apply is March 27, and eligible workers can submit applications.
Eligibility and conditions
There are some necessary conditions to avail the benefits of the scheme:
The worker must be registered with the Labor Department for at least one year.
On the date of marriage, the bride’s age should be 18 years and the groom’s age should be 21 years.
The benefit of the scheme can be availed only up to a maximum of two daughters.
Required Documents
For eligibility, these documents have to be submitted along with the application: Labor Registration Certificate, Aadhar Card of parents of the bride and groom, birth certificate and educational certificate of the bride and groom, affidavit of no previous marriage, certificate of not availing marriage related benefits in any other scheme, copy of ration card or family register.
