New Delhi. Government employees and pensioners find it challenging to find affordable and safe housing in the capital. In such a situation, the Karmayogi Awas Yojana of Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has brought a big relief, which is providing ready-to-move flats with a discount of 25 percent directly to the eligible government employees.
Scheme only for government employees and pensioners
This housing scheme is completely reserved for Central and State Government employees, employees working in Public Undertakings (PSUs), Public Sector Banks (PSBs), Universities and Autonomous Institutions and retired pensioners. The special thing is that this entire housing pocket has been earmarked only for them, so that a safe and equitable professional community can develop.
1,168 flats will be available in Narela
DDA is providing a total of 1,168 new and freehold flats under this scheme. All these flats are located in Sector A1 to A4 (Pocket-9) of Narela. The distribution of flats is as follows: 1BHK: 320 flats, 2BHK: 576 flats, 3BHK: 272 flats.
Affordable prices after 25% discount
After the discount, the prices of the flats have been kept in line with the budget of government employees. The estimated prices are as follows: 1BHK: Approx ₹34 Lakh, 2BHK: Approx ₹79.8 Lakh, 3BHK: Approx ₹1.14 Crore. Getting a ready-to-move, freehold flat at these rates in a city like Delhi is a big deal in itself.
Modern features and security
Facilities like large balconies, adequate parking, open common areas, community center or club house will be provided in these residential complexes. A plan to deploy ex-servicemen for security arrangements is also included, so that families can get a safe environment.
When and how to apply?
The entire process of this scheme will be online and the allotment of flats will be done on “first come, first served” basis. Interested applicants can apply and book through DDA’s official website or e-services portal.
