Good news for employees: DA increased by 3%, announced!

Bhopal. Before Holi, there is a relief news for the state employees. Madhya Pradesh government has announced a 3 percent increase in Dearness Allowance (DA). After this decision, employees will now get 58 percent DA, which is equal to that of central government employees.

Benefit from salary of April 2026

Chief Minister Mohan Yadav said that the revised dearness allowance will be added to the salary of April 2026, which will be paid in May. Lakhs of government employees will get direct financial benefits from this. The government has also clarified that the dues for the period from July 2025 to March 2026 will be paid in six equal installments from May 2026. This means that the employees will also get the arrears of increased DA in a phased manner.

Pensioners also got big relief

Not only working employees, but pensioners will also get its benefit. 58 percent dearness relief (DR) will be added to the pension for the period January to February 2026. This will also increase the monthly income of retired employees. The Chief Minister said that the state government is committed to the welfare of all sections and the economic security of the employees is its priority.

Other decisions taken in the cabinet meeting

Many important decisions were also taken in the cabinet meeting held in Barwani under ‘Farmers Welfare Year’. The government says that schemes are being continuously implemented in the interest of employees as well as farmers and other sections.

Maharashtra government also increased DA by 3%

Similarly, Maharashtra government has also increased the dearness allowance of its employees and eligible workers by 3 percent. After this, DA there has also increased to 58 percent. Minister of State for Finance Ashish Jaiswal told in the Assembly that this increase will be considered effective from July 2025.
