Good news for farmers in Bihar, government gave a gift!
Patna. Bihar government has started a new initiative for farmers, which is going to provide huge benefits to the sugarcane farmers of the state. Under the Chief Minister Sugarcane Mechanization Scheme, the state government will now provide grant money to sugarcane farmers to purchase agricultural equipment. This amount will be deposited directly into the bank accounts of farmers through DBT. Through this, farmers will get 50 to 60 percent discount in the purchase of equipment, which will be a big relief for them.
Special features of the scheme
The objective of the Sugarcane Mechanization Scheme is to provide modern agricultural equipment to the farmers, so that they can increase the productivity of their fields with better production. The Sugarcane Industry Department has issued permits to 324 farmers to purchase agricultural equipment. These farmers will get the opportunity to purchase equipment from vendors available on the Sumec portal of the state government. After purchasing the instruments, they will be verified, and then the grant amount will be paid into their account.

Some of the major implements available under this scheme include modern machines like Disc Harrow, Power Weeder, Power Tiller, Land Leveler, Rotavator, Mini Tractor, Hydraulic Sprayer and Sugarcane Cutter Planter. With the help of these machines, farmers will be helped to get better results in sugarcane cultivation.
Agristack scheme helps farmers
Bihar Agriculture Minister Ramkripal Yadav told in the Assembly that till now 45.18 lakh farmers have been registered under the Agristack scheme. This scheme was started with the aim of collecting data of farmers, so that they can get the benefits of various government schemes.
Till now, about 85 lakh farmers in 38 districts of the state are registered under PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. The Agriculture Minister clarified that the registration of farmers who have land documents is being done at a fast pace. However, for those who do not have documents, there is some delay in registration. The Agriculture Department and the Revenue Department are working together to complete this work quickly.
