Good news regarding free ration in UP, government gave a gift
Lucknow. There is news of relief for the poor and needy families of Uttar Pradesh. The way has been cleared for distribution of eight lakh ration cards stuck in the state. Minister of State for Food and Logistics Satish Chandra Sharma has instructed the officials that ration cards of all new and eligible beneficiaries should be issued quickly as per the rules.
Actions and Guidelines
The Minister of State said that the cards of ration card holders whose family members are working abroad and whose income limit is higher, should be cancelled. Along with this, the cards of the deceased persons should be canceled and benefits should be given to the eligible people immediately.

The work of transfer of units of women who have shifted to their in-laws after marriage will be completed promptly. At present about 7,300 cases are pending in this case, work on which is going on at a fast pace.
e-KYC process
More than 92 percent of the ration card holders in the state have completed e-KYC. This will increase transparency in ration distribution and the data of every eligible beneficiary will remain correct.
Strict action on irregularities
Due to defects found in the distribution of essential commodities in the month of November, FIR was registered against 36 vendors, contracts of 60 were suspended and 133 contracts were cancelled.
