Good news to ‘Gram Panchayats’ of UP, government gave a gift
Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh government has given a big cultural gift to the gram panchayats and the local people. 26 relic sets of musical instruments purchased earlier have been handed over to Bhatkhande Sangeet Sansthan and Hariharpur Sangeet Vidyalaya, Azamgarh for the promotion of folk art and music. At the same time, instructions have been given to soon purchase new musical instrument sets for distribution in Gram Panchayats in other districts of the state.
The Department of Tourism and Culture also announced that cultural programs will be promoted in the state through Sangeet Natak Akademi, Uttar Pradesh Folk Tribe Culture Institute, Bharatendu Natya Academy and other cultural institutions in coordination with resorts and hotels. For this, nodal officers will be nominated in all 75 districts.
While holding a review meeting at Tourism Bhawan on Thursday, Tourism and Culture Minister Jaiveer Singh gave clear instructions to the officials that all the projects of the department should be completed within the time limit and any kind of hindrance should be resolved immediately. He said that financial approval for 19 projects included in the approved action plan will be issued soon and the projects which have not yet started will also be reviewed.
The Minister also emphasized that by strengthening the tourism and culture sector, the contribution to the state’s one trillion dollar economy can be increased and employment opportunities for the local people can be increased. Along with this, he told the officials that unnecessary hurdles should not be created in any work, rather the focus should be on finding a solution to the problem.
In the meeting, the Minister also directed to speed up the action of increasing the frequency of Radio Jaighosh, so that the broadcast can reach more areas of the state. Apart from this, he said that the new culture policy of the state will be prepared in accordance with the new culture policy of the Central Government.
