Google AI Professional Certificate Launched
Google CEO Sundar Pichai launched the new Google AI Professional Certificate course under the India-US Connect initiative at the AI Summit 2026. This course aims to strengthen AI connectivity in India and the US and provide practical AI skilling to the youth. The course will also be accompanied by the creation of a full-stack AI hub in India.
Google AI Professional Certificate: Google CEO Sundar Pichai launched the new AI professional certificate course under the India-US Connect initiative at the 2026 AI Summit. In this summit organized in New Delhi, Pichai said that this initiative has been started to strengthen AI connectivity in India and America and to provide practical skilling in AI to the youth. Under this, 7 courses have been launched and a full-stack AI hub will also be built in Visakhapatnam in India.
New initiative will give impetus to AI skilling
Google CEO Sundar Pichai announced the new Google AI Professional Certificate course under the India-US Connect initiative during the AI Summit 2026 held at the Bharat Mandapam. The aim of this initiative is to strengthen AI connectivity between India and America and to make youth proficient in AI. According to Pichai, investment in AI skilling and connectivity is key to deeper adoption of future technology.
7 certificate courses will provide practical experience
7 different AI certificate programs have been launched under the course. These include AI fundamental courses to AI for research, writing, content creation and data analysis. All courses will teach how to use AI through practical experiences and tools like Gemini Deep Research and Google Meet. Students will learn techniques for prompt writing, turning creative ideas into action plans, summarizing meetings, and turning data into insights.
Building full-stack AI hub in India
Sundar Pichai informed that Google is setting up a full-stack AI hub in Visakhapatnam as part of a $15 billion infrastructure investment in India. This hub will give new direction to AI with gigawatt-scale compute and international subsea cable gateway. This initiative will accelerate AI skilling, research and innovation in India and open new opportunities for young talent.
