Create your own AI agent by writing code, Gemini 3 will provide superfast automation

Google Workspace Update: Google With its new and powerful tools Google Workspace Studio General availability has been announced. This is a feature that will help users design, manage, and share their AI agents within Google Workspace without writing a single line of code. According to the company, this feature is based on Gemini 3 and aims to make automation easy, flexible and accessible to all employees.

How does Google Workspace Studio work?

Google said in its blog post released on Thursday that its goal is to free people from the daily tasks that cost the most time, such as sorting emails, arranging meetings and following up on action items. The company says traditional automation tools often demanded technical skills and were too complex for ordinary users.

But Workspace Studio changes this process completely. Users can create a custom agent in minutes by simply specifying their needs in natural language. Whether designing an entire workflow or selecting a ready-made template, AI quickly creates an automated process.

New capabilities of AI agents

According to Google, these AI agents from Workspace Studio are significantly more advanced than older rule-based systems. Gemini’s reasoning and multimodal capabilities allow the agent to:

  • sentiment analysis
  • content generation
  • task prioritization
  • smart alerts
  • And automatically adapt based on new information

Such tasks can be done easily.

Giving an example, the company said that global cleaning brand Kärcher has already tested this tool with its partner Zoi. They created a virtual team in which one agent reviews the idea, another checks technical feasibility, a third creates user flows, and the last agent drafts the entire user story. This reduced the time taken in drafting by 90%.

Who can use it?

Google says that companies participating in the Gemini Alpha program have completed more than 20 million tasks using these agents in the last month alone. These also include sensitive tasks like email labeling, legal notice review, travel approval management.

“The employee who understands the problem best can now create their own solutions,” the company said. Users can easily set up agents that recognize questions from emails, label them, and send notifications in Google Chat. Agents can also extract dates, action points, and invoice details from messages and attachments.

Integration with Google Workspace apps and third-party tools

Workspace Studio agents can work seamlessly across Gmail, Drive, Chat, and other Workspace apps. These agents understand the user’s context and follow company policies. Users can view agent activity directly in the side panel of the app. Additionally, these agents can also connect to third-party services like Jira, Salesforce, Asana, Mailchimp, etc. Advanced teams can also add custom steps through Apps Script and link to their internal systems or models built on Vertex AI.

Rollout starting soon

Google said that Workspace Studio will be available to business customers in the coming weeks. Once the feature is activated, users will be able to immediately start creating AI agents by exploring templates or simply typing instructions.
