Let us know about this feature-
What is ‘UPI Circle’ and how does it work?
The new UPI Circle feature is designed to help users manage the expenses of their family members, friends or employees. It works through two types of users:
Primary User: The person whose bank account is linked to Google Pay.
Secondary User: A dependent (such as a child or parent) who can make payments using the primary user’s account.
Once added, secondary users can perform UPI transactions, but full control over spending and permissions remains with the primary user.
Key features of security and control
1. Full Delegation
Set a monthly spending limit (up to ₹15,000).
Secondary users can make payments freely within this limit.
Not every transaction requires approval.
2. Partial Delegation
Every payment request must be approved by the primary user.
This is best for keeping tight control and monitoring of expenses.
Before setting up UPI Circle, keep these things in mind:
You can add up to 5 secondary users.
The secondary user’s phone number must be saved in your contacts.
They must have Google Pay installed on their phone.
A valid UPI ID or QR code is required for transactions.
