Google preparing to challenge Meta: Two AI smart glasses will be launched next year

The company is working on hardware development for this project in collaboration with leading brands like Samsung, Gentle Monster and Warby Parker.
Preparations for the launch of two new AI smart glasses
Google aims to launch two different categories of AI smartglasses in the coming year.
1. First model: AI glasses with audio support only
This glass will facilitate hands-free use of Gemini AI assistant. It will not have a camera or display, rather it will work like a smart audio wearable. With this, users will be able to make calls, queries, reminders and many AI based features without touching the phone.
2. Second model: Advanced smartglasses with in-lens display
In this high-tech model, a display will be provided inside the lens itself, which will show the user real-time navigation, translation and contextual information directly in front of the eyes. Both glasses will work on the Android XR operating system, which Google has specially designed for mixed reality headsets and devices.
Google has already launched smart glasses
Google has already entered the world of smartglass technology, but at that time the company’s efforts were not very successful. Talking on this, Sergey Brin said, “The technology was not completely ready at that time and due to supply chain limitations, its prices had become high.” Now in the era of AI, the company is confident that this time both technology and partnership are strong, due to which the product will be able to survive in the market.
