Development of Gorakhpur will gain momentum, CM Yogi will inaugurate projects worth Rs 53 crore

Many important projects which will give a new direction to the development of the city have now reached the final stage. Many projects have received approval from the government. After this, the Municipal Corporation has intensified preparations for the inauguration and foundation stone laying of these projects. In the first phase, the Municipal Corporation has planned to inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of three major projects costing about Rs 53.26 crore by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Among these projects, Bandhu Singh Multilevel Parking and Commercial Complex prepared in Ghantaghar area and beautification work of Ghantaghar will also be inaugurated. The foundation stone laying program of the proposed commercial complex in Pandeyhata has also been included.

The problem of traffic jams is going to persist

With the commencement of these projects, the traffic system in Gorakhpur will improve. Business activities will get a boost and the beauty of the city will also improve significantly. The problem of traffic jam is going to persist in Ghantaghar area for a long time. In view of this, a modern multilevel parking and commercial complex has been constructed in Bandhu Singh Park by the Municipal Corporation at a cost of approximately Rs 27.26 crore.

The building will be five storeys including basement

This project is now completely ready and with its commencement it is expected to reduce the traffic pressure in the area. Along with this, local traders and customers will also get great facilities. There is a proposal to construct a modern shopping complex at a cost of about Rs 25 crore (2463.93 lakh) in the commercial area of ​​Pandeyhata located on Lal Diggi Park Road. According to the proposal prepared by Construction and Design Services (C&DS), this building will be five storeyed including basement.

There will also be parking facility for 65 vehicles

A total of 62 shops will be constructed on four floors. There will also be parking facility in the basement. This modern commercial complex will also have parking facility for a total of 65 vehicles. Out of this, 25 four-wheelers and 40 two-wheelers will be able to park. This will provide relief from the problem of chaos and jam in the market area.

Modern lighting was arranged

Apart from this, there is also a plan to inaugurate the historical clock tower of the city after beautification by the Chief Minister. In fact, the city’s historic clock tower has also been extensively beautified at a cost of about Rs 1 crore. Built in the year 1930, this building reminds of the sacrifice of freedom fighters. Along with repairing its walls, the Municipal Corporation has made arrangements for a new digital clock, digital bell and modern lighting.
