Gorakhpur: In the suspicious murder of a girl in Pipraich, the father became the murderer of his daughter, police revealed it within 48 hours.

gorakhpur. The police has revealed the case of death of a girl under suspicious circumstances in Sinhoria village of Pipraich police station area and arrested her father. According to the police, the father had beaten his daughter due to a family dispute, due to which she suffered serious injuries and she died during treatment. The police have also recovered the sickle used in the incident at the behest of the accused.

As part of the campaign being run by Senior Superintendent of Police Gorakhpur to arrest criminals, Pipraich police took this action under the guidance of Superintendent of Police North and supervision of Area Officer Chauri-Chaura. The police team under the leadership of Inspector-in-charge Atul Kumar Srivastava has arrested the accused Kamlesh son of Rambriksh, resident of village Sinhoria police station Pipraich.

According to the police, on March 13, 2026, information was received about the death of a girl under suspicious circumstances in Sinhoria village of Pipraich police station area. The mother of the deceased had given an application in the police station saying that her daughter was injured due to a fall and was taken to the hospital for treatment, where she died during treatment. Based on the information, the police conducted Panchayatnama and postmortem as per rules and started investigating the case.

During the investigation, the police seriously investigated all the aspects related to the incident. Investigation revealed that the girl often had disputes with her father over her conversation with a boy. On the day of the incident too, there was an altercation between father and daughter over the same issue. During the dispute, father Kamlesh got angry and beat his daughter, due to which she got seriously injured. Later the family took him to the hospital for treatment, where he died during treatment.

In this case, the police have registered a case under section 103 (1) BNS under case crime number 123/2026 and arrested the accused father. A sickle used in the incident has also been recovered at the behest of the accused. Police have started advance legal action against the accused.
The team that made the arrest included Inspector-in-charge Atul Kumar Srivastava, Sub-inspector Ramesh Kumar Sahni, Constable Sandeep Kumar and Constable Chandan Singh.
