Now Liz Laz himself has spoken openly on this entire matter. He told in an interview that initially he was not even aware that Virat Kohli had liked his post. Later, when news and posts started appearing continuously on social media, they came to know about this entire controversy.
“It was all unreal for me.”
During a conversation with Filmimantra, Liz Laz said that when she saw her name trending on social media, she could not believe it. According to him, this moment was very different and surprising for him. He told that this news was seen completely differently in India and Germany. In India, people were showing interest in knowing who Lijlage is, whereas for many people in Germany the question was who is Virat Kohli. Lijlage said that cricket is not that popular in Germany, so this issue was quite new for the people there.
Virat Kohli defended
During the interview, Liz Laz clearly said that there was no wrong intention on the part of Virat Kohli. He said that just liking a post is not a big deal and it was unnecessarily turned into a controversy. He appealed to the people that because of this they should not try to tarnish the image of Virat Kohli. Liz Laz said that Virat is one of the biggest sports icons of Asia and compared him with football stars Messi and Ronaldo. According to him, the kind of craze people have for Virat is no less than any international superstar.
“Money was offered to speak against Kohli”
During this conversation, Liz Laz also made a shocking claim. He said that some people and alleged journalists had offered him money to speak against Virat Kohli. According to Liz Laiz, he was asked to say things which Virat never said. However, he clearly refused to do so. She said, “Why would I do this? Virat is my favorite cricketer. I can’t lie to tarnish someone’s image.” After his statement, the debate has intensified on social media also. Many people are praising his honesty.
Life changed after controversy
Lijlaj also admitted that after this whole controversy, his career has got a big benefit. His recognition in India suddenly increased and he started getting offers for many new projects. He told that he has received many proposals related to reality shows, brand promotion and entertainment industry. He was also offered a good amount of money for some projects.
However, Lijlaj clearly said that she will do only that work which is not against her thinking and values. At the end of the interview, Liz Laz also expressed her desire to work in Bollywood. She said that if she gets a good opportunity in the Hindi film industry, she would definitely like to work.
