It has been informed that illegal ration card holders are being identified by the government and their ration cards are also being cancelled. During this period, about 58 million fraudulent ration cards have been detected and canceled.
Aadhar card is being linked to E-KYC system
To crack down on illegal card holders, the government is linking Aadhaar card with the EKYC system so that the cards of other card holders can be canceled and those who are availing the benefits of food grains wrongly can be stopped. Ration services are being made easier for ration card holders through the 'One Nation One Ration Card' initiative.
